Happy New Year Mani and what I wore.

 Hey Friends

Well what a weird few weeks its been, first things first, my eye op which was supposed to be taking place today, isnt, the lens isnt ready yet due to Christmas holidays, new date is hopefully January 10th, they'd told me to still wear my glasses though as they thought I might need another scan of my eyes but when they rang to cancel the op they confirmed no scan required and I could put my lens back in.

My nails for New Year as a base of Fancy Gloss mystery polish from June 2021, a pink to nude holograph, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats, you could do one coat but if you run warm the nude warm state might show your nail line. I then stamped using Virage Varnish Bug Bites and Beet Ice, both pink creams, using plates Celebrate 1 by Powder Perfect and New Year New Digits from UberChic Beauty.

Another mani is below, I'm hoping to get back to posting the blues at the beginning of next week as I am now wearing my contact lens again.

Then for my the week after Christmas as I was still wearing my glasses and doing nail art was difficult, I painted my nails with Cosmic Candy cream version by Fancy Gloss and stamped using Zoya Olivera using plate BP-L042 from Born Pretty which I got in a huge plate destash recently. Cosmic Candy is a tri-thermal which is black cold to blurple warm and pink hot, this is more a summer thermal as it takes quite a high temp to get the pink to show. I love how the sparkles in Olivera showed up even in the stamping.

Botox Mani and Weekend Mani

Hey Friends

Today on the blog I'm sharing my botox appointment mani and my weekend mani.

I started with a base of Zoya Mateo, but it wasnt bright enough so I added a coat of Zoya Echo, then I stamped using Whats Up Nails Black My Mind with their plate B035, I then added two thin coats of Fancy Gloss's Black Thermal Topcoat.

First pic is without the topcoat, next two pics where with one coat, then fourth pic is the two coats.

I then decided to change my polish as I have an eye appointment for my cataract surgery on Tuesday, I started with three coats of Fancy Gloss Fintastic, then I stamped with Zoya Brie and Whats Up Nails stamping plate B035 again, I love the images on this plate. Fintastic is quite shifty, in the bottle the flakies look blue but on the nail they look lime green to me.

Ellie was being mega cute this morning too :)

Weekend Mani

Hey Friends

I'm sharing my weekend mani with you today, I am seriously struggling to see to do my usual blog posts, wearing glasses that arnt strong enough because theyre three years old, my ears hurt, my nose hurts and I'm really struggling to see.

Anyway, I'm wearing Femme Fatale Swept Across the Sea a gorgeous thermal polish, cold its a deep seafoamy green with a multi-chrome shift, warm its a silvery toned blue. This has a really great formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats for opacity. The Femme Fatale dries matte, pics are with topcoat.

I then decided on a coat of Fancy Gloss Tidal Class which is a black when cold to clear thermal with blue flakie shards, I really would love to stamp but I cant see to do so.  I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to do the daily posts until I can wear my contact lenses again which I'm hoping will be after December 21st, I dont think I need to wear my glasses until my eye surgery at the end of December.

Saldana can best be described as a buildable, cotton-candy blue iridescent-holo topper with hints of pink and blue colored glitter with mega hex particles.

Rayne is stunning, a bright shimmering blue, good formula, no running or pooling, I did two coats but likely needs three for full opacity, I also did one coat over black on my thumb.

Saldana is amazing, I love the pink flash she has, great formula, no running or pooling I did two coats on my fingers,  this might be better in three coats, I also did one coat over black on thumb to show off the pink shift. This might be annoying to remove due to the hex glitters, I also have a cut on my finger hence the small heart sticker. With added fuzzy on my little finger!

A Zoya A Day - Eleni and Lillian

Hey Friends

Today on the blog we meet Eleni and Lillian, I also got some very good news but slightly annoying news lol, I have severe myopia aka short sightedness, I also developed cataracts from taking topiramate for my chronic migraines, well yesterday I got the call that I'm going to get my pre-op assessment in two weeks, the annoying part is I have to wear glasses for those two weeks not my contact lenses, I havent worn glasses full time since I was 15 thats 30+ years ago. They will measure my eyes for internal contact lenses then hope to do the operation itself near the end of December. I am struggling with the glasses as they arnt quite as strong as my contact lenses either, everything is extra blurry. I am registered as visually impaired, if I took my glasses off I would just be able to see to the end of my nose, but I can read hallmarks on jewellery without a jewellers loop!

Lillian by Zoya can be best described as a faded aquamarine with a glossy cream finish.

I love Eleni, a bright but soft blue, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats.

Lillian is gorgeous, almost a pastel neon blue, good formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats, check out my swatch stick though, the colour has faded to a grey colour, most interesting. My bottle is totally fine but there must be something in the pigment of this one for it to fade on the swatch stick.

Also thank goodness I can touch type because I really cannot see my keyboard. Also go me for denting the polish before it was dry.

We also managed to build one set of the Ikea Malm drawers last night, pic below.

Emerson can best be described as a modern baby blue cream.

Blu is gorgeous, it has a couple of drops of green in it compared to Emerson, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one coat, Blu also stamps, I could have probably done two coats on my ring finger but only to sort out my ridged little finger.

Emerson is a very light blue, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one coat, Emerson also stamps, I forgot I owned a coloured paper journal so I used it to show the light blues stamping.

Hopefully myt pics show you the difference in tones to these two. I did some snow flake stamping with winter deer on my thumbs, with added cat hair too!

The last pics are of my new clothing rail, hubs 3D printed all the brackets, we got the rail from Ikea and we already had the bits of MDF, we still have 3 sets of Ikea Malm drawers to build and find a new light for in there, the middle pic shows my wedding dress in its protective bag, I am thrilled though!
