Polish Pickup UK Manicure

Hey Friends

Today on the blog I'm sharing a gorgeous polish from January 2022 Polish Pickup UK.

I dont buy a lot from Polish Pickup as a lot of polishes are in finishes I'm not a fan of, like glitters, if I really like the colour story of the glitters I will grab one and the new craze on reflective glitters is not my thing because they are extremely textured being glitter and difficult to remove. So I purchased only 2 polishes from January.

You've already seen Dried Roses from Fancy Gloss, now we have Indie by Patty Lopes and Purple Beauty, a gorgeous purple multi-chrome. You can see in the pics the green and blue colours coming through, I could also see pink and a gold. I did 3 coats but I totally could have stopped at 2, great formula, no running or pooling.

I then stamped with a bunch of Virago Varnish using Whats Up Nails plate B044 and Dixie Plates Butterflies and Bees, I then used Barry M Plumpy and Matte topcoats. I really wish Virago Varnish still made polish, the creams are brilliant for stamping and when worn are almost all one coaters.

I adore Indigo, those little tiny sparkles just twinkle so well in that deep inky base, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one sweet coat, Indigo also stamps. The little sparkles dry without texture and are easy to remove, theyre the same as the sparkles in their holographic polishes.

Marlena is stunning, those golden sparkles stand out so nicely in that rich ocean blue, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one coat, Marlena also stamps.

Weekend Mani

Hey Friends

Today I'm sharing what I'm wearing for the weekend.

I started with two coats of the amazing Fancy Gloss Dried Roses a tri-thermal that is green (cold) to blue (warm) to pink (hot) which was from January 2022 Polish Pickup, I then stamped using Virago Varnish Oktoberfest, Not A Happy Camper and Zoya Palmer using plates B044 from Whats Up Nails and Floral 01 from Powder Perfect. I then applied Barry M Plumpy Topcoat and then Barry M Matte topcoat.

Fancy Gloss did have another version of this in their own shop called Fancy Roses, unfortunately the day it was launched on Rainbow Connection in the UK I had a massive migraine and when I logged onto the site the next day it was sold out. I am hoping that Jackie the owner of Fancy Gloss brings it back, as its a very unusual colour combo for a thermal.

I really like how in the cold state the flowers appear and in the hot state the ferns appear :)  Plus some pics of the stuning Ellie Belle taken by my hubs with his Nikon D90 camera.

Ryan by Zoya can be best described as a classic indigo in a flawless cream formula.

I cant believe Nisha is discontinued already, this is such a cool colour, looking at it in the bottle you see the violet shimmer and you think oh thats a purple, then you put it on your nails and oh its a deep blue almost black. The shimmer shows up nicely too. This is what I wanted Blake to be like, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one sweet coat, Nisha also stamps.

Ryan is stunning, a very rich deep ink blue, it does look black in some lights, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one coat, Ryan stamps nicely too.

Tomorrows post will be a manicure one.

Hadley is stunning a deep blue with a strong green undertone, one of Zoya's chameleon colours, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one coat, Hadley also stamps well.

Lou is one of Zoya's chameleon colours, its blue in some lights but green/turquoise in others, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one sweet coat, Lou also stamps well, I think once I finish the blues in about a week, I think I'm going to pull all the teal turquoise colours out and put them in a row all their own between the blues and greens.

Sailor is so pretty, deep inky blue that still looks blue, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one sweet coat, Sailor also stamps well.

Over the weekend we did a move around of our living room furniture as while its a biggish room it wasnt feeling like that, we have a three seater sofa, a very large armchair which I used and an Ikea Poang chair plus a couple of small tables and two Kallax units one square and one tower. So we did furniture tetris and we've decided my giant armchair doesnt work in the room anymore, so its going and we'll pick up another Poang chair plus the matching footstool. We've also finally decided on the room colour scheme, grey, turquoise and golden yellow accents. We moved into this house in 2014, so its only taken us 8 years to finally re-decorate the living room. Of course we dont have a timescale for when this will be done either but at least we've settled on a plan.
