A Zoya A Day - Kismet

Hi Friends

Today I'm sharing my swatch of the gorgeous Kismet.

Available on the website - Yes (February only)
Brush used - Z Wide.
Name - Kismet
Year - 2025
Number - ZP1250
Does it stamp - Yes
Coats - 1
Finish - Cream
Collection - Polish of the Month
Colour - Pink/Red
Topcoat - No

Kismet is a sophisticated, deep blushed berry, whispering of red, like the deepest blush of a rich, velvety rose petal.

Oddly Zoya have this colour listed as in the red spectrum, I would say it has a red base but it is definitely a pink in my opinion.

Kismet has a fantastic formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one sweet coat, she also stamps nicely.

I also got my Naturel 6 order today, a quick note to say I will be doing swatch posts, however, I am not sure about doing a comparison post because these are not glitters as Zoya calls them, they are in fact teeny tiny little pink and gold flakies, so while I might have colours to compare Zoya does not have any other flakies polishes like these. Let me know if you want a colour comparison post.

I am going to test out the little extras from my order, they are the rescue serum and the repair base from the Gelli-Cure line, I have had a real issue with the middle nail on my left hand, I cannot get it to grow past the free edge without breaking, I'm wearing a false nail today for this swatch.

Christmas and New Years Manicures

Hey Friends

Today I'm sharing the manicures I wore for Christmas and New Years, plus my current manicure.

Christmas nails were a base of two coats of Fancy Gloss Cedar Grove, I stamped using Whats Up Nails Box of Whine (Red) and Nip it in the Bud (Green) using Simply Polished Christmas plate. I really liked my thumbs they worked while hot and cold.

New Years manicure was a base of two coats of Fancy Gloss Jungle all the Way then stamped with Whats Up Nails Silver Ag-ent (silver) Go for Gold (Gold) and Ruse to the Occasion (Pink Metallic) plates were Uber Chic New Year, New Digits and Powder Perfect Celebrations 1.

Lastly my current manicure is a base of two coats of Fancy Gloss Fiery Mirage, stamped with Whats Up Nails Waiting for Patina using plates Moyra 119 Scientist and Apipila Molecules.

The stamping on my middle fingers is the chemical symbols for caffeine and chocolate.

Henley can be described as a rich, sophisticated rosewood cream in a 2-coat full-coverage formula

Available on the website - Yes
Brush used - Original
Name - Nyssa
Year - 2014
Number - ZP748
Does it stamp - Yes
Coats - 2
Finish - Cream
Collection - Entice
Colour - Brown
Topcoat - No

Nyssa can de described as a as a milk chocolate brown in the flawless, full-coverage cream formula.

Henley is perfection, so chic, the perfect office wear colour, I dont get Zoya's description though, rosewood is a deep dark almost cherry cola colour not this purple leaning pink.  Henley has a great formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats for my manicure.

Nyssa could also work in an office setting, she does indeed remind me of milk chocolate, almost like I dipped my nails in chocolate rather than polish, Nyssa had a good formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats for my manicure, both polishes also stamp.

A Zoya A Day - Paisley

Hi Friends

Today I'm sharing my swatch and review of the stunning Paisley.

Available on the website - Yes
Brush used - Z Wide
Name - Paisley
Year - 2024
Number - ZP1225
Does it stamp - Yes
Coats - 2
Finish - Cream
Collection - Polish of the Month
Colour - Neon Purple
Topcoat - No

Paisley can be described a pastel neon that packs a punch

This polish is so gorgeous, a really bright vibrant neon, this is one I can see myself wearing a lot over the summer, I keep staring at my nails.  I did stamp with Soraya as well.  Paisley has a good formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats, as this is a neon it does dry to that matte finish.

This is a chameleon colour, the right hand side are the most colour accurate.

This really fits in so well with the Beachy Brights 2 collection, I highly recommend grabbing this one if you havent already.

A Zoya A Day - Coco

Hi Friends

Today I'm sharing my manicure of Coco.

Available on the website - Yes
Brush used - Original
Name - Coco
Year - 2007
Number - ZP0422
Does it stamp - Yes
Coats - 2
Finish - Cream
Collection - Uptown
Colour - Mauve
Topcoat - No

Coco can be best described as a dark marsala mauve with brown, red and purple undertones with a smooth cream finish.

Coco is one of those chic colours that you can wear at any time and it looks good with any outfit, the colour is chameleon like, one minute it looks brown, then a red brown then a dark mauve pink. Great formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats.

Coco also stamps well. I have also purchased the new Beachy Brights 2 and Paisley the May polish of the month, I think they will be arriving here next Monday 3rd June.

Everyone is hoping for some sunny weather, the cats are still in winter mode, I had both cats crashed out on me this morning and Obi was hanging out in my office just now.

Monday Nails

Hi Friends

Today I'm sharing my latest manicure, I cannot resist a thermal polish and Fancy Gloss are the best in my humble opinion, today I'm wearing Red Velvet, a dark red with a very strong red shimmer when its cold changing to a white with that strong red shimmer when its hot.

I did two coats for the base then I stamped using Zoya Toni a dusty oxblood colour, plates are both Moyou, Festive 03 and Halloween 14.

Not sure what I've picked up on my right thumb, looks like glitter.  I've been testing out the Zoya Fast Dry drops and I am really liking them, they've been helping me if I do my nails after dinner at night. I had to run my hands under cold water to get the cold state, its very warm here in the UK at the moment. I really like this polish with the matte topcoat, it does give off velvet vibes.

Weekend Nails

Hi Friends

Today I'm sharing another manicure using Fancy Gloss Coral Daisy and my weekend manicure using Pistachio and Strawberry Icecream.

First up the manicure I wore from last Monday until yesterday, I did two coats of Coral Daisy then I stamped with Zoya Ziv and Virago Varnish Cannon Ball using plate B059 from Whats Up Nails.

Then yesterday I decides on Pistachio and Strawberry Icecream, I did two coats then stamped with Zoya Gwen, Virago Varnish Green Tea Frost and Whats Up Nails Blanc My Mind, the plates are Born Pretty Artist L003, BeautyBigBang XL-074 and Moyou Crystal Collection 08.

This turned out more subtle than I was expecting, Pistachio is a pink when cold to light pastel neon green when warm.

Weekend Mani

Hi Friends

Today I'm sharing my weekend manicure with you.

I started out with two coats of Fancy Gloss Dutch Iris, a periwinkle blue when cold to a pale sunshine yellow when hot, this also has a pale pinkie colour when warm but thats hard for me to capture as my internal thermostat doesnt work properly, I'm either freezing or boiling.

I then used stamping plate Whats Up Nails B059, polishes were Barry M Lemon Sorbet (yellow) and Virago Varnish Not A Happy Camper (blue).

I also broke the middle nail on my left hand, wearing a clear fake nail as below.

In other health news, the new medication for my migraine is really having an amazing effect, below are my stats for April, three migraine is almost unheard of for me, the medication is called fremanezumab aka Ajovy, I self inject with an auto-injector pen every 30 days.
