Current Mani 23rd April 2024

Hi Friends

Today I have my current manicure to share, I did a small order with Rainbow Connection a nail polish retailer in the UK.  I cannot resist Fancy Gloss thermals, the colours are always interesting and the formula top notch.  I ordered the following

Left to right Arabian Tales, Coral Daisy, Pistachio and Strawberry Ice Cream and Dutch Iris.

I decided on Coral Daisy as the first manicure, this has a great formula, I did two coats for my base, I then stamped with Zoya Dita the flowers on my index and little fingers and then I used Virago Varnish Cannon Ball on the rest, plate was Moyra 107 Botanical.  I wasnt super careful painting the polish as I knew I was going to be stamping so clean up could wait.

I love the peachy vibe to the coral in the cold state and the yellow is almost neon, so fun.

Nail Mail and My Current Manicure

Hi Friends

Today I'm sharing my last Fancy Gloss haul, I ordered these in January and they arrived this week. Rainbow Connection does pre-orders for Fancy Gloss and you order in advance.

Left to right we have

Orquidea Espacialt
Morning Iris
Pocion de Amor
Dainty Rose
Aguas Frescas
Mala Conducta
Once in a Pink Moon

Generally Fancy Gloss is the only brand of thermals I buy as they're always interesting colour combinations and they transition well without needing a lot of heat or cold.  They also last really well, I've been buying them since at least 2019 and none have died yet. (fingers crossed).

I used both Aguas Frescas the blue cold to lime hot thermal and Dainty Rose a plum cold to pink hot thermal.

With Aguas I used Virago Varnish Blueberry Bleak and Green Tea Frost with plates Uberchic Beauty Butterflies, Moyou London Bridal Collection 8 and 10 and Lace Collection 01.

With Dainty Rose I used Zoya Toni and Whats Up Nails Bargain-Villea with the same plates.

Both thermals had wonderful formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats of each.

Top coated with Barry M Plumpy topcoat.

Weekend Manicure

 Hey Friends

Today I'm sharing my weekend manicure with you.

As usual it was a mash up :)

I purchased two bottles of Fancy Rose 2.0 from Fancy Gloss because its such an interesting colour combo for a thermal, its green cold, blue warm and pink hot. As you can see I got bottles from two different batches of the polish, I love both, the lighter one has a peachy tone to the pink, this is kinda why I adore Indie polish makers and their thermals, as now I own technically three different versions of the same polish, Dried Roses has a different colour of flakie and base green colour than Fancy Rose 2.0. Fancy Gloss is also releasing a creme version of Fancy Rose and I will be picking up a bottle of that for sure.

I did two coats of each bottle, then I stamped with a whole bunch of Virago Varnish, Bug Bites (pink), Beet Ice (Cerise), Speedo (Red), Grunge (Purple).I really wish that Virago Varnish was still around, their polish was/is just brilliant for stamping.

Plates were Whats Up Nails B044 and B017.

For my middle fingers I did gradients of the two pinks and the red, then on my index and little fingers I used Grunge and Bug Bites on their own, my thumbs I did a smooch of the pinks and red.

The second shot down does have water splashed on my nails, I was soooo cold yesterday I couldnt get a warm shot without running hot water over my hands then dashing for my phone before my nails went back to being cold!

Weekend Mani

Hey Friends

I'm sharing my weekend mani as an extra post today.

I started with a base of two coats of Fancy Gloss Once Upon a Time which is a blue (cold) to pink (hot) thermal.

I then stamped the tree branches using Virago Varnish Hot Cocoa, the flowers are a mix of Cosmic Candy and Prototype 3 both Fancy Gloss. On my thumbs I used Cosmic Candy and on my index and little fingers it was Prototype 3. The plates used were Kads Nature 17 and Whats Up Nails B017.

Prototype 3 is very reactive to temperature changes while Cosmic Candy is slower and needs a higher temperature.

Botox Mani and Weekend Mani

Hey Friends

Today on the blog I'm sharing my botox appointment mani and my weekend mani.

I started with a base of Zoya Mateo, but it wasnt bright enough so I added a coat of Zoya Echo, then I stamped using Whats Up Nails Black My Mind with their plate B035, I then added two thin coats of Fancy Gloss's Black Thermal Topcoat.

First pic is without the topcoat, next two pics where with one coat, then fourth pic is the two coats.

I then decided to change my polish as I have an eye appointment for my cataract surgery on Tuesday, I started with three coats of Fancy Gloss Fintastic, then I stamped with Zoya Brie and Whats Up Nails stamping plate B035 again, I love the images on this plate. Fintastic is quite shifty, in the bottle the flakies look blue but on the nail they look lime green to me.

Ellie was being mega cute this morning too :)
