A Zoya A Day - Connor

Hi Friends

Today on the blog I'm sharing my swatch and review of the gorgeous Connor.

Available on the website - No
Brush used - Z Wide
Name - Connor
Year - 2023
Number - ZP1206
Does it stamp - No
Coats - 2
Finish - Glitter
Collection - Polish of the Month
Colour - Grey
Topcoat - No

Connor is a discontinued polish from Zoya and can be described as a mid-toned grey with holographic flakes and micro-glitter.

I did debate sharing this polish or not but I figured I should as it could always show up in a destash or ebay listing.

Connor had a great formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats for my swatch, you may be wondering at those long nails, yeah they are fake, I am not the biggest fan of glitter, its annoying to remove, even with a peel off basecoat and when I use Unt Ready for Take Off it usually lasts 4 or 5 days.

Last but one photo is Connor compared to London a pixie dust Zoya did in 2013, you can see that London has a brown undertone to the grey but theyre a similar texture. The last photo is some 3D printed stands my hubby did for me, he is still to print me a stand for them so that I dont knock them over while the polish dries.

  1. Connor is interesting. The holographic in a grey base is nice, but I'm not sure I love the finish. Did you paint acrylic nails yourself and then stick them onto your nails? I don't use acrylics so I'm not sure how it works.
    Thanks for sharing! :)

    1. Oh! You know more than me! Looking at it again, I do like Connor in the bottle… Does it dry like a PixieDust?

    2. Yeah Connor does dry with that Pixie Dust sand paper texture, shame it doesnt remove like on though. I wish they would do more Pixie Dusts, those are my go to for a quick one and done manicure.

    3. Oh, okay! It's interesting that they aren't doing PixieDusts; I think there's a market for it, and they are doing textured glitters, just without that marketing. Yes, PixieDusts are great for quick manis! :)

    4. Yes, if I need a quick mani, I throw on Godiva, Tilly, Tomoko or Levi :) golden nudes so I dont need to worry about a visible nail line/

  2. Hi! :) I'm so glad you swatched this one! Will you continue to do the other Colours of the Month? I live in a country Zoya doesn't ship to, so I'm wondering if the retailer here will release them next year or something. Even if not, I really enjoy the swatches! I'm curious how Vienna will compare to Levi!

    1. Hi, I am not sure I'll be able to get Vienna, I'm a bit scared to order only one polish and have it shipped from the USA to the UK and it arrive and be in one piece. None of the retailers here in the UK are getting the Colours of the Month polish.

    2. Oh, okay. That's a shame, but understandable! Thank you for replying! 😊

    3. Yeah I'm a bit miffed to be honest, I just dont trust that it would make it in one piece lol and they arnt being offered to other retailers here. I dont know if I can contact them to say I wanna buy this but can you hang on to it for a bit until I order other things it can travel with lol

    4. It would be nice if you could! Or perhaps you could make a list of colours you want to order, but wait until there's a Colour of the Month to actually place it? That way, every time you wanted a Colour of the Month, you would have some colours lined up? Or does it not really work like that? Or maybe you could make a "Cart", and leave it open until there's a Colour of the Month??

    5. I could maybe do that, the issue is I now own a LOT of their colours lol
