Zoya Hypnotic Collection - Bottle and Swatch Stick Comparisons

Hi Friends

Today I'm sharing my bottle and swatch stick comparisons for the Hypnotic trio for holiday 2022/23.

Their names are Clarice, Metora and Rosalind. In contrast to previous brights these are dark and vampy.

Continued after the promo pics.  As always new polish is first left, all photos taken in direct natural light, no colour correcting.

First up left to right is Metora, Jem and Rachael, no dupes, Jem is a darker tone with a different finish and Rachael is a cream finish and also darker than Metora.

Left to right Rosalind, Ibiza and Indigo, no dupes, Rosalind has a purple undertone, almost duochrome look while Ibiza is a cream and Indigo has very slight sparkles.

Left to right Clarice, Envy and Ray, no dupes, Envy has a yellow undertone and is a cream, Ray is a holographic.

I was curious about Regina because I knew it was a blackened green with a shimmer, but as you can see the shimmer in Regina is a tonal deep green, whereas the shimmer in Clarice is a brighter almost yellow colour. Left is Clarice and right is Regina.

You can really see the difference in the shimmer here, so cool.

These are stunning, Zoya does glowy polishes very well. I cant wait to wear these beauties.

Zoya Y2k Collection - Bottle and Swatch Stick Comparisons

Hey Friends

Today I'm sharing my bottle and swatch stick comparisons for the Y2k trio for winter 2022/23.

Three polishes called Malana, Sparrow and Tamiah.

As always photos are taken in natural light in front of a window, with a Pixel 6a phone, I do not colour correct, I only crop my images and add my watermark. The new polish is always first left.

Continued after the promo images.

First up we have left to right Malana, Blyss and Taryn, no dupes, I have nothing anywhere near the finish of Malana, Blyss and Taryn were the closest colour wise and sadly Blyss is discontinued.

Left to right Tamiah, Eradani, Millie and Marlowe, no dupes, Tamiah is close to Eradani colour wise but the finishes are totally different, Millie has more pink and Marlowe has more blue tones.

Left to right Sparrow, Elsa, Muse and Marlena. no dupes, Sparrow is much brighter than the others and a different finish than them too.

These are so pretty, I love that this was so left field for a holiday collection, I cant wait to getting wearing these beauties.

A Zoya A Day - Moki

Hi Friends

Today I'm sharing my swatch and review of Moki.

Available on the website - Yes
Brush used - Original
Does it stamp - Yes
Name - Moki
Year - 2022
Number - ZP1155
Coats - 1
Finish - Metallic
Collection - Metallic Dreams
Colour - Gold
Topcoat - No

Moki can be described as an earthly olive metallic submerged with golden undertones and micro glitter.

I find it interesting that Zoya doesnt call this a gold, the colour family on the website is listed as metal.

Moki is gorgeous a really beautiful deep gold, this also isnt a glitter either, yes it glitters like gold but this dries smooth and it wont be difficult to remove, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque on my shorties in one coat, I did get this to stamp, probably best over darker colours.

I've started using the Qtica Nail Growth Stimulator in the hopes of helping my nails.

A Zoya A Day - Matilda

Hi Friends

Today I'm sharing my swatch and review of Matilda.

Available on the website - Yes
Brush used - Original
Does it stamp - No
Name - Matilda
Year - 2022
Number - ZP1154
Coats - 2
Finish - Metallic
Collection - Metallic Dreams
Colour - Pink
Topcoat - No

Matilda can be described as a metallic sweetheart pink submerged with gold shimmer.

Matilda is gorgeous, I love a pink and gold combo, this reminds me of Zoya Happi and Zoya Zooey, Matilda has a good formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats. Yesterday was a bank holiday in the United Kingdom so we took advantage and went on a walk around our local parks. The swan was far too busy snoozing to take any notice of us walking past. We saw a swath of gorgeous cowslips along with blue and white belles in the woods.

I got my Earth Day Zoya order today, I split it into two orders to avoid the customs charges, so the second part should be arriving on Wednesday, hopefully.

A Zoya A Day - Bonnie

Hi Friends

Today I'm sharing my swatch and review of the topper called Bonnie.

Available on the website - Yes
Brush used - Original
Does it stamp - No
Name - Bonnie
Year - 2023
Number - ZP1148
Coats - 1
Finish - Glitter
Collection - Café Creams
Colour - Rose Gold
Topcoat - No

Bonnie can be described as a sheer and luminous rose gold topper, that can be worn alone or as a semi-textured glitter over your favourite Café Creams.

Bonnie is really pretty, I decided to try this over a black Barry M Black Forest, a white Barry M Cotton, then the following Zoya, Dagmar, Althea, Gidget and Sylva, I thought that would give a good idea of what it would be like as a topper.

Bonnie has a lovely formula for a topper, not too base heavy, thankfully the glitters arnt so large as to make removal a pain in the rear, I really like the green and gold combo myself. I did one coat over everything, the swatch stick has two coats.
