A Zoya A Day - Lennon

Hi Friends

Today on the blog I'm sharing my swatch and review of the sparkling Lennon.

Available on the website - Yes
Brush used - Z Wide
Does it stamp - No
Name - Lennon
Year - 2023
Number - ZP1199
Coats - 3
Finish - Holographic Glitter
Collection - Enamoured
Colour - Teal
Topcoat - No

Lennon can be described as a deep pacific teal with a shimmering holographic finish 2 coat formula.

What a stunning polish Lennon is, this is hugely sparkly, Lennon has a great formula, no running or pooling and I did three coats for maximum sparkle, I am wearing a peel off basecoat for easy removal and I got myself some full cover fake nails for the two broken nails, I am hoping these protect the nails while they grow out.

I've purchased set B of enamoured and the September Polish of the Month as well, they should be here next Monday. The next to last pic is of my left hand nails after I had to cut them due to another break on my index finger.

The last pic was my manicure for the FB When Colors Collide challenge for green, purple and orange.

Liberty by Zoya can be best described as a blue sugary sparkle in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust - Textured Textured, Matte, Sparkle formula.

I think I need to do some sort of turquoise/teal section between the blues and the greens because clearly Cecilia is not blue or green. Cecilia is a gorgeous colour though, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one sweet coat, Cecilia also stamps.

Liberty, I adore, one of the very first pixie dusts I picked up, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one coat, my swatch stick has faded a lot though!.

I got myself some new LED's for my room over the weekend from Amazon as the ones I was using were not good quality, my new ones are from Govee and can be controlled by google home. I still need to get a new cable tray for them, theyre only held on with blu-tak in a mashup to see what they'd look like.

More Halloween Nails

 Hey Friends

Today I have more Halloween Nails, these are a very subtle with their stamping set.

I used two more of my September Polish Pickup order, I did three coats each of Simply Ment to Be by MTK Design and Party at the Castle by Paint It Pretty Polish.

Simply Ment to Be is a very unusual polish, cold this is a dusty purple, hot its a bright orange, this is jam packed with flakies, its a sheer formula so did need the three coats but good formula, no running or pooling, I adore the dusty purple tone on this.

Party at the Castle is also stunning and unusual, a deep teal/blue base with a massive purple shimmer, the duochrome for this is gorgeous, my photos do not do this any justice, in person it changed every time I moved my nails, great formula, no running or pooling just a bit sheer, I think I could have gotten away with two coats.

I then stamping spider webs on all nails using Color Club Cosmic Fate and Eternal Beauty, the witch on my right hand is Zoya Bentley, the stamping didnt show up as well as I thought it would.  Over all I really enjoyed both polishes as they were both new brands to me via Polish Pickup.  Stamping plate was the same as yesterday, Dixie Plates Halloween 2017.

Zoya London and Juniper

Happy Friday!

Today on the blog I have two of Zoya#s textured polishes to share with you, meet London and Junpier :)

A Zoya a Day
Name - London
Year - 2013
Number - ZP661
Coats - 2
Finish - Pixie Dust
Collection - Spring Pixie Dust
Colour - Grey
Topcoat - None

A Zoya a Day
Name - Juniper
Year - 2018
Number - ZP974
Coats - 1
Finish - Pixie Dust
Collection - Jubilee
Colour - Teal/Green
Topcoat - None

Zoya pixie dusts are a textured finish polish, Zoya did different versions, the original style was very small grit texture they then did ultra pixie dusts, these having a much larger glitter particle in them with a much rougher texture, then there were magical pixie dusts, these were like a mix between the two, with slightly bigger particles than a normal pixie dust but not as big as the ultra pixie dusts.

The pixie dusts are ment to be worn without base or top coat, however, I always advise wearing basecoat to protect your nails from staining. While they are textured they dont remove like a glitter!

Both London and Juniper are the original small grit formula.

London is described as a fog grey with a sugared sparkle, this was opaque in two coats, no running or pooling. The manicure shot is the most colour accurate, a lovely lighter grey with silver sparkle shinning through.

Juniper is described as a sparkling teal with a subtle purple/green flash, formula was perfect with no running or pooling and opaque in one sweet coat.

I love a pixie dust for durability and also they are very quick to throw on, they work amazingly for toes too.

Left to Right Levi (Original), Bar (Magical) and Thea (Ultra), hopefully you can see the differences in the bottle.

Louis Vuitton Nails

I'm on a role with posting,

Today I have some Louis Vuitton nails for you, I ordered several plates from Nail-Artisan by Alex by the brand Mundo De Unas, I'd not tried their plates before and saw a post on facebook where someone had the Louis Vuitton plate and I thought thats cute, then fell down the rabbit hole of stamping plates.

Alex's shop https://www.nail-artisan.co.uk/

Alex is fantastic, her shipping is fast and very well packaged and she always has interesting items, be that plates or polish.

I started with two coats of Zoya Anchor my go to basecoat, I've switched out the normal brush for the new Z-wide brush and I have to say that it makes doing my basecoat quicker and I dont seem to be getting the bubbles I was with the old brush. The only down side is I have tiny nails so I have to be careful.

I then did two coats of Agnes, this could have been a one coater if I'd been a little more careful.  Then it was on to the stamping, I decided to go with a smooch of Aire (Blue), Evette (Purple) and Danica (Teal) for the small graphic and then did the logos in the different colours for my thumbs, the Mundo De Unas plates are slightly bigger than a credit card, they are very well etched and the pickup was really good, I dont tend to use polish thats been made specially for stamping as the ones I have tried I didnt like, when I went to do clean up the acetone just seemed to smear the colour over my skin instead of removing it. I topped the stamping off with my go to topcoat which is Barry M Plumpy Topcoat. The shine from Agnes is all her own doing.

You can see on my left hand ring finger I didnt quite float the top coat over my nail and its smeared a bit :( I also think I need to change my scraper, the one I am using now is a little old, I think a bendier scraper would work better.  Overall I am really please with how they turned out :)
