Robyn by Zoya can be best described as the perfect blue cream.

Dory is a lush bright sky blue, great formula, no running or poling and opaque in one coat, Dory also stamps well, I love the turquoise undertone she has.

Robyn is stunning, close to Dory but with more white and a hint of green undertone, great formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one coat, Robyn also stamps.

Blue polish and me are not friends lol I forgot to take Talia off by holding the polish remover on for a good amount of time then pushing off the polish, rather than my usual which is press down then rub around in a circular motion, bad move with blues for me lol, thankfully the polish did not stain my nails just my skin and a hand wash or two will remove that.  I always wear two coats of basecoat for all manis.

Dory and Robyn both had separation issues while sitting on their shelf, a good shake and all was good again though :).

Dawn is gorgeous, a deeper medium pink with a slight red undertone, good formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats, this also stamps. Hopefully you can see the red undertone in the stamping.

A rare pic of both cats on me on the bed, usually its just Ellie who sleeps on me at night, she loves to lean against my legs and she will not move if I move my legs. Obi comes to see me on the bed but usually hops down after 20-30 minutes, this moring he stayed for at least a couple of hours.

A Zoya A Day - Laney

Hey Friends

Its Friday again, almost the end of the month and F1 is back racing at Sochi too.

Today on the blog we meet Laney

Available on USA website - No
Available on the UK website - No
Brush used - Original
Does it stamp - No
Name - Laney
Year - 2010
Number - ZP0609
Coats - 2
Finish - Metallic
Collection - Reverie
Colour - Silver/Grey
Topcoat - No/Yes over stamping.

Laney is a discontinued polish from Zoya and described as a duo-chrome moonlit silver metallic.

I would not describe this as a duochrome, I would say this is a silver metallic with a strong green flash. Its an unusual colour.

Good formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats. This is a bit brush strokey too.

I then decided on a bit of nail art for the weekend and used one coat of OPI Nails The Runway, then stamped with OPI My Italian is a Little Rusty (dark orange) and OPI Have Your Panettone and Eat It Too (light orange). The stamping plate was Pretty in Plaid by Uberchic and I used Barry M Plumpy topcoat.  Third pic is an attempt to show the green flash, yeah that didnt work, pic four is the nail art and pic five is a close up of the two coats of Laney with one coat of OPI Nails The Runway which is a grey base with rainbow sparkles.

A Zoya A Day - Raine

Hey Friends

Happy Friday!

Today on the blog we meet Raine

Available on USA website - No
Available on the UK website - No
Brush used - Original
Does it stamp - No
Name - Raine
Year - 2006
Number - ZP0375
Coats - 2/3
Finish - Shimmer
Collection - Classic
Colour - Silver/Grey
Topcoat - No

Raine is a discontinued polish be Zoya, I'd describe her as a milky pale silvery grey with a pink/purple duochromey shimmer shift.

This maybe would get opaque if you did 4 coats but who has time for that?! Not me!

So I decided to do three coats on its own and two coats over a navy a pale purple and a pink. This has a great formula, no running or pooling.  This is one of those colours that is the perfect topper to lots of things. The swatch stick was painted with a black to show the shimmer.

Zoya Uma

Happy Thursday

Well I think I finally found my perfect mannequin hands nude!

Meet the stunningly gorgeous Miss Uma

A Zoya a Day
Name - Uma
Year - 2006
Number - ZP370
Coats - 2
Finish - Shimmer
Collection - Spa Essentials
Colour - Nude
Topcoat - None

Uma is a nude with a pinky/peach undertones and a very fine shimmer in silver and a golden flash.

Shes from Zoya's Spa Essentials line which is their french manicure and sheers line.

I have tried a vast amount of Zoya nudes looking for the perfect mannequin hands shade, its a shame that Zoya dont have a shop here in the UK where you can go and look at the colours in person.  I really really love this, the last two pictures were taken outside and look how different it looks in different lighting.

Second pic shows from left to right, Uma, Sally and Rue. You can see how much more peachy Uma is compared to Sally and Rue has much more pink.
