A Zoya A Day - Laney

Hey Friends

Its Friday again, almost the end of the month and F1 is back racing at Sochi too.

Today on the blog we meet Laney

Available on USA website - No
Available on the UK website - No
Brush used - Original
Does it stamp - No
Name - Laney
Year - 2010
Number - ZP0609
Coats - 2
Finish - Metallic
Collection - Reverie
Colour - Silver/Grey
Topcoat - No/Yes over stamping.

Laney is a discontinued polish from Zoya and described as a duo-chrome moonlit silver metallic.

I would not describe this as a duochrome, I would say this is a silver metallic with a strong green flash. Its an unusual colour.

Good formula, no running or pooling and opaque in two coats. This is a bit brush strokey too.

I then decided on a bit of nail art for the weekend and used one coat of OPI Nails The Runway, then stamped with OPI My Italian is a Little Rusty (dark orange) and OPI Have Your Panettone and Eat It Too (light orange). The stamping plate was Pretty in Plaid by Uberchic and I used Barry M Plumpy topcoat.  Third pic is an attempt to show the green flash, yeah that didnt work, pic four is the nail art and pic five is a close up of the two coats of Laney with one coat of OPI Nails The Runway which is a grey base with rainbow sparkles.

More Sharpie Nail Art

Happy Saturday or in my case ugh my head hurts I need my botox appointment.

I can always tell when I need my botox as the migraines slowly creep back in with more pain and last longer. The 12th March cant come soon enough as far as I'm concerned.

Anyway there are more important things to talk about, like polish!

Today I have more sharpie nail art for you, this time I went with a base of My Boyfriend Scales Wall from OPI, this is a very very light grey, great formula opaque in two coats, I picked this up for £5.99 at a beauty outlet store a couple of years ago, I grabbed 2 bottles as its quite a sought after polish.

I then used the Kelly Negri plate KN34 with the butterflies on and I had picked up more markers from Home Bargains at a steal of 99p.

Instead of using a white over the markers I went with Harp On It by Color Club and that worked like a charm, in the sun they sparkled, so cute.

I do love it when an idea I have in my head translates to the nail.
