Remington can be described as a creamy, natural, darkened rosewood brown.

Remington has a gorgeous formula, no running or pooling and opaque in one coat on my shorties, this also stamps well. Please enjoy my swatch with added cat floof! Just noticed that, its striped which means its Ellie floof.

A Zoya A Day - Kahula

Today on the blog I'm sharing my swatch and review of the gorgeous Kahula.

Kahula can be described as a gingerbread brown with warm reddish undertones.

Kahula had a gorgeous formula, no running or pooling and I did only one coat on my shorties, I'm trying to get them into better condition by keeping them short to allow them to recover after having a few gel overlays on to protect breaks. I love the reddish almost sunburnt colour to this brown. Kahula also stamps well.

A Zoya A Day - Biscuit

Today I'm sharing my swatch and wearing of Biscuit.

Biscuit can be described as a warm milky brown mocha with a peachy undertone and creamy finish.

Biscuit had a great formula, no running or pooling and I did two coats for my swatches, this was opaque in one coat on my very short nails but I did add a second coat, this also dries darker than it applies. I love the peachy undertone to this, it gives me almost mannequin hands.

We went for a walk around our local area to a park we'd not visited before, some pics below, we are really lucky to live so close to some great green spaces. Everything is bursting with life and all the different greens are gorgeous.

Zoya Classic Leathers Bottle and Swatch Stick Comparisons

Today I'm sharing my bottle and swatch stick comparisons for the Classic Leathers collection from October 2022.

This is a 6 piece cream collection consisting of

Althea, Dagmar, Gidget, Ono, Ryder and Sylva.

More pics after the promo pics, new polish is always first left and photos taken in natural daylight, not colour corrected, only cropped and I use a Pixel 6a phone.

Left to right, Gidget, Honey, Darcy and Sawyer, no dupes, you can see that brown undertone in Gidget compared to Honey and Darcy, Sawyer has an orange undertone, I was just curious in this comparison.

Left to right One, Quinn, Donnie and Ciara, no dupes, I hope you can see the lighter colour of Ono compared to Quinn and Donnie has more pink undertone and Ciara pinker and a deeper colour.

Left to right Dagmar, Margo, Tara and Quinn, no dupes. Dagmar has more red undertone than Margo, Tara has a blue undertone and Quinn is a pink but I was wanted to show the depth of colour in Dagmar.

Left to right, Althea, Yara, Gemma and Arbor, no dupes, Yara is close in colour tone but has that golden shimmer, Gemma is lighter and is discontinued and Arbor has way more yellow undertone.

Left to right Sylva, Natty, Brett and Sailor, no dupes, I was not expecting such a grey/green undertone in Sylva but she's not close to Elliot either, Natty has a grey undertone and Brett and Sailor are deeper blues.

Left to right Ryder, Cola, Colette and Colin, no dupes, Cola has more red undertone but is discontinued, Colette is very close to Colin only with golden shimmer but is discontinued and Colin has more yellow undertone.

There we have it, the final comparisons for now of some of the collections I missed. I will be picking up the Hypnotic, Y2K, Toasty and Day Dreaming collections at the end of this month.

Yesterday was a gorgeous day so the hubs and I decided to go on a wee dander around the countryside in our area, an almost 7 miles walk, our original café stop was closed to we had to go to a different one slightly further away lol.

Zoya Metallic Dreams Bottle and Swatch Stick Comparisons

Today I'm sharing my bottle and swatch stick comparisons for the Metallic Dreams trio from October 2022, this was a small 3 piece collection.

The names are Amara, Matilda and Moki.

More info after the promo pics. As per normal, new polish is always first left and photos are taken in natural daylight using a Pixel 6a phone. I do not colour correct my pics.

Left to right Matilda, Binx, Harper and Tess, no dupes, Matilda doesnt have the same finish as Binx or Harper and is slightly lighter in colour to Binx, Tess is a metallic but sadly discontinued. 

Left to right Amara, Jinx, Soleil and Penny, no dupes, Amara gas much more brown undertone that any of these, Jinx, Soleil and Penny are much more coppery and Jinx and Penny are sadly discontinued.

Left to right Moki, Richelle, Ziv and Amara, no dupes, the closest is Richelle but she has a hint more brown and is sadly discontinued.

I havent done a stamping test on these but I think Moki and possibly Amara might stamp.

Zoya Café Creams Bottle and Swatch Stick Comparisons

Today I can finally share my bottle and swatch stick comparisons for the Café Creams collection.

This collection consists of 6 polishes and their names are as follows

Biscuit, Bonnie, Constance, Kahula, Ophelia and Remington.

Check below, I've got close up photos showing comparisons. As normal, the new polish is always first left, I take my photos in natural day light, it was cloudy today, I dont colour correct my images and I use a Pixel 6a phone.

Left to right, Bonnie, Nahla, Cindy and Maria Luisa, no dupes, Bonnie has a deep rosy golden tone, compared to the others.

Left to right Biscuit, Flowie, Kahula and Kinsley, no dupes, Biscuit is lighter than Flowie and has more yellow than Kahula or Kinsley.

Left to right, Kahula, Kinsley, Carson and Pandora, no dupes, Kahula has more pink undertone than Kinsley and is darker than Carson and Pandora.

Left to right, Remington, Mary, Foster and Dea, no dupes, Remington has more purple undertone than Mary, Foster and Dea.

Left to right, Constance, Avi, Neeka and Michaela, no dupes, Constance has a brown undertone compared to the others.

Left to right Ophelia, Elaine, Nina and Kateri, no dupes, in the bottle shot you can see a grey undertone to Ophelia compared to the others.

I cant wait to get wearing these, I am really liking the look of the topper Bonnie.

Hopefully this is helpful, I know the Earth Day sale is coming up, so if you didnt pick any of these up at the time, this might persuade you.

Good News! Zoya now ship internationally!

What a crazy few months its been! 

Back last September I noticed that neither Zoya UK aka SuperNail&Beauty nor NailPolsihDirect had gotten the Café Creams or Metallic Dreams collections, I kinda thought it was a bit odd but I didnt really chase it, I figured they were just being slow at Zoya. Then the classic leathers came out and I was a bit more concerned.  So I contacted Zoya USA via email, heard nothing, tried Facebook and Instagram and again didnt hear anything, so I took it to mean that Zoya had decided to stop supplying the EU and the UK.

But then, it got a little more strange, in January I checked the Zoya UK site and there was nothing listed, not even older polishes I knew they had in stock, so I wondered what was going on, I then checked the site again in March and it was gone but for a holding page saying :- 

SuperNail&Beauty Ltd, 

Dear visitor, this website is temporarily unavailable. 

Now I was really curious, I decided to do a bit of detective work, here in the UK when you create a business you have to give a lot of information to the government like employees, directors, company secretaries etc and accounts for the business year have to be filed, so I looked up SuperNail&Beauty, it was not good news, when I looked at the company accounts the business was in debt to the tune of over £300,000.00, these accounts were also filled very late, December 2021 was filled in September 2022. This week SuperNail&Beauty has also had its first listing in the Gazette for compulsory strike off, meaning the company will be struck off the Company House register and be unable to trade.

SuperNail&Beauty itself is owned by a parent company and it has had issues as well and had a compulsory strike off of the Company House register, basically the company was dissolved but this is being reversed from what I can see of their information.

I can see why Zoya USA stopped sending collections, I'm guessing they are owed a lot of money and said enough.

The brilliant news is that Zoya are now shipping to the EU and the UK! I made an order last week and received it today, so I am a very happy Zoya collector indeed! 

I will be posting up comparisons over the next few days for your viewing pleasure.

Oh one other item of note, I have seen that Zoya sued Kathleen Fuentes aka Lights Lacquer because Lights Lacquer used names that Zoya had used for their polishes, Zoya trademarks all the names it uses for its polishes, lots of people have been getting the wrong end of the stick regarding this, its not the names themselves per say, its the naming convention, Zoya is now the only company that uses names for their polishes, Julep used to but Zoya again sued them also for the same thing, because Zoya had been in business since 1986 and Julep started in 2007, think of it like Toyota wanting to name their new car a Mustang, or if I said I was wearing Ruby Pumps you'd know thats a polish by China Glaze, Barry M here in the UK has a similar polish but they called theirs Ruby Slippers.  OPI uses pun names for its polishes, Zoya uses names, thats their thing and they have the right to protect it, Lights Lacquer *might* have been ok if they had used names Zoya had not but they didnt so have suffered the consequences.

Sunday Manicure

Hey Friends 

Long time no post because......

Sadly its looking like Zoya are no longer shipping to the UK, I've emailed them, direct messaged them on Instagram and posted to their facebook page and I've had no response at all.

I'm gutted, the last collection I was able to get was the Pink Palette.  I have an account on Zoya.com but I went to try and add a UK address and it wasnt possible. As a collector its really sad to see the collections being launched and swatched but to not be able to purchase them is very depressing. I'm almost pondering unfollowing them on all my socials as theres no point in seeing all the pretty things I cannot have.

The only other brand I purchase are Fancy Gloss and I can purchase those via Rainbow Connection here in the UK.

Todays manicure is a thermal Egyptian theme. My base is two coats of Cat Tail Nails Bloodied and Bruised a quad-thermal that goes from cold a deep plum, warm a red, warmer a blue and hot to a pale almost white pink.  I then stamped using Zoya Maddy and Virago Varnish Boysenberry Jam using Powder Perfect plate Egypt 1.

The cats are doing great, Obi had a vet visit a few weeks ago and got a clean bill of health.
