Amazing Zoya Nail Mail

A few days ago someone from the Zoya Group on facebook posted about a website that had quite a few older discontinued Zoya so of course I had a look and I am super happy with what I managed to grab.

So I managed to pick up Maisie the last of the glass fleck polishes from 2012.
Elsie is from the original classic collection Zoya brought out in the early 2000's.
Amber is also from the original classic collection as is Raine, they also reused the name Rayne in the Delights collection from spring 2105.
Willow is from the Re-Cher-che collection from possibly spring 2006, I also own Caresse, Arielle and Fawne.

So Left or Right above we have Maisie, Elise, Amber, Raine and Willow :) 

Left to Right above are Maisie, Opal and the second use of Chloe :) these are the Fleck Effect polishes from 2012.

Left to Right Buffy, Angel and Willow, I am a big Buffy The Vampire Slayer fan so just had to have Willow when I already had Buffy and Angel :)

Zoya Charity

Well the botox kicked my ass and I was in bed by 8.30pm last night!

Today I have the stunning Charity, she is a mauve pink with gold shimmer, the formula on this was perfect, it went exactly where I put it and was opaque in one coat.

I then decided to stamp using the DRK nails Magic Garden plate, except I picked up the wrong polish but it wasnt a disaster so I rolled with it, my middle fingers have Zoya Nova as the stamping polish and then my ring fingers have Zoya Leisel, I then put a matte topcoat on to help with seeing the stamping.

Zoya Giada for Migraine Awareness Month

Today I have the stunning Giada to share with you, this is a dark vampy purple with a lighter purple shimmer/flash, this is from one of my favourite collections from Zoya their Focus and Flair.

June is Migraine Awareness month and the colour is purple,  I'll be doing a few purples from my untried polishes.

Formula on this was superb, no running or pooling, not thick and it went exactly where I put it, this is one of those lit from within polishes, perfect for Christmas and New Year manis.

I've had migraine since I was 15 and have been chronic since 2009, migraine is an incurable neurological disorder, traditionally medications for other conditions where used, now we have a medication called CGRP. I've tried a lot of the preventatives and the abortives and am now having botox treatment.

Calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) is a molecule that is synthesised in neurons (nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord). It has been implicated in different pain processes, including migraine, and functions as a vasodilator — that is, it relaxes blood vessels. Once scientists identified this target molecule, they began trying to develop ways to stop it from being activated at the start of migraines, as a kind of abortive treatment. The CGRP mAbs (monoclonal antibody) have this effect, and because they have a long duration of action (called a half-life), they can be administered much less frequently than typical migraine medications that are taken daily (with the exception of botulinum toxin, which is injected every 90 days). These new migraine medications are injected under the skin monthly, and have thus far demonstrated a statistically significant decrease in days of migraine.

Zoya Joy

Today I have the beautiful Joy to share with you, this is a medium pink with massive gold shimmer, Zoya describes this as a metallic but its more a shimmer in my opinion.

This was almost opaque in one coat but I could just see some visible nail line so I added a second coat, the formula was superb, not too thick or thin and it went exactly where I put it, I also cut back the nails on my left hand to match the right, I was struggling to type with the longer nails, I think if I had a normal keyboard and not a flat mac one it would be better but the longer nails were hitting the keys above where I was typing. 

You'll note I've put the year as unknown, Zoya started in 1986 and their first collections where the spa essentials which were the french manicure colours and then their classic range which had more colours but still muted. The polish number is quite early so I'd hazard a guess at the 90's.

I really like this colour is much deeper than Happi which is a lighter pink and the gold shimmer is way more apparent in Happi also.

Zoya Aster

Hey

Today I have the stunning aster to show you, this is a very cool colour its lilac or periwinkle depending on the light, it also has the cutest little pink and blue sparkles which dried smooth so no bumpy bits!

I'm using Zoya's own anchor basecoat at the moment and really enjoying it, I always do 2 coats as my nails tend to stain easily. Sadly also yesterday the broken nail I'd been hoping would grow out under its silk wrap failed and I've had to cut the nails on my right hand short, I'm debating on cutting the left ones down as well but for the moment they stay long.

Zoya Jill

Today I have Zoya Jill for you.

This is an amazing one coat wonder nude creme from the Natural 3 collection. This had the perfect formula, thick enough to cover in one coat but not thick enough to be unwieldy, it went exactly where I put it with no running or pooling, this also dried lovely and shiny.

Zoya Jack

Afternoon!

Well I had plans to do some stamping but someone decided that he liked my chair rather than the rug so just had time to do one coat of Zoya Jack with a coat of Nadia and Leisel over my middle fingers.
The shimmer stands out much more in person.

Sally Hansen Insta Dry in Racey Rouge

Good afternoon

Today I have Sally Hansen Insta Dry in Racy Rouge to share with you today, this is a jelly red, I did 2 coats, you can still see my nail line in the photos but its not as noticeable in real life.

The brush on the insta drys is very wide, its as wide as my little finger so I have to use it sideways.

New kitty is settling in nicely, we've changed his name to Tiberius,  Tibby or Ty for short :)
